Statewide leaders hit the ground running

Florida's new leaders

Florida’s newly elected governor and Cabinet members are off to an incredible start this month.

Gov. DeSantis has already unveiled a comprehensive water policy program addressing the Everglades and has made clear his intention to direct the Florida Legislature to develop policy surrounding the 2016 medical marijuana amendment.

Attorney General Moody has formed a statewide Opioid Abuse Working Group and made several arrests in human trafficking. Agriculture Commissioner Fried will add sexual orientation and gender identity to the department’s list of workplace protections, and CFO Patronis toured the Panhandle with FEMA and the governor to assist with hurricane recovery efforts.
