After opening its Thomasville Road store a little more than a year ago, Midtown Reader has already grown, adding a second floor of books, comfortable seating and sweet treats from Lucy and Leo’s Cupcakery.
The store suffered a setback when a water pipe burst shortly after the store reopened following the renovation, but owner Sally Bradshaw told the Tallahassee Democrat they intend to remain open despite the damage.
“I think we’re in really good shape,” said Bradshaw. “Just people knowing that we’re open for business and that there are some great sales if they want to come get some books.”
