Keep pets safe during holiday celebrations

by The 100 Companies

The holiday season can be stressful, and even dangerous, for pets, but there are ways to avoid the most likely hazards.

• Some plants are toxic to dogs or cats. Keep poinsettias, holly, mistletoe, lilies, daffodils and amaryllis out of reach to pets who might try to bite or chew them.

• Avoid ER visits by sharing with your guests that you don’t give your fur babies people food. Chocolate, grapes, and other seemingly harmless treats will cause illness in pets.

• Keep decorations, wrapping paper, tinsel and metal hooks that may become choking hazards out of reach.
