Fort Walton Beach – a new place to call home

This June, after calling Tallahassee home for nearly 10 years, my family moved west to start a new chapter in the small beach community of Fort Walton Beach.

Sitting perfectly along the Emerald Coast, Fort Walton Beach is a town of just 22,000 but is proudly home to Eglin Air Force Base and the 96^th Test Wing, the largest in the U.S. military.

While adjusting to life in Central time has its challenges, we can’t complain about our new neighborhood. Seeing the beach on our daily drive and watching F-35s soar overhead will never get old.
