I remember as a kid, hearing my parents’ gripe when the neighbors put their Christmas lights up too soon. While I never really understood the cutoff date between tasteful and annoying, I just assumed it was my dad’s way of delaying the inevitable.
But there is good news for all of the eager holiday decoration connoisseurs out there, as some psychologists are reporting that putting your lights up early might be the perfect therapy for a turbulent and disruptive 2020.
The Christmas lights and decorations appear to stir up happy childhood memories for many of us, creating a sense of nostalgia.
