Preparing for an interview during social distancing

interview tips

Currently, television and radio stations have limited in-studio guests and live remotes. Given this, whether sharing insight on COVID-19 or other information as an expert resource, spokespeople need to adapt to the needs of the stations, offering Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, phone and email interviews in place of what would be an in-person interaction.

As such, make sure you have the latest version of the software the station prefers installed, and familiarize yourself with the features. Test the mic, too. During the interview, choose classic clothes with clean lines, sit up straight and limit distraction by not talking with your hands.
