EDR Group’s study found that Uber is a major economic contributor to Florida’s economy. In fact, Uber driver and delivery partners’ 2017 activities supported $1 billion of gross domestic project. Uber further reports that take-home payouts for Uber partners reached $870 million in Florida. Other findings include:
• One-quarter (25 percent) of Uber riders in Florida use Uber for their daily commute.
• When asked about their most recent trip, 6 percent of respondents said they used Uber to connect to a bus or rail line. Another 11 percent said their most recent trip involved a connection to an airport.
