Antonia “Toni” Smith recently took the helm as the new executive director of the Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce, which serves minority- and women-owned businesses in five area counties.
Toni originally hails from Delray Beach and is a FAMU graduate. She has a background in funding and development and owned a public relations firm before joining the chamber.
Working with what she calls a “tremendous” board, she hopes to increase membership, forge new partnerships, increase the chamber’s presence outside of Leon County and take an active role in legislative advocacy for issues affecting minority- and women-owned businesses.
