So much for voter anger, mistrust and blaming the “establishment.” If the response to pent-up anger is to stay home, we are all losers in this process. Statewide turnout was 23.85 percent: less than one in four voters bothered to vote.
Hotly contested races didn’t move the needle. Wasserman-Schultz in Broward, blamed for how her party was run, didn’t move the needle. The big primary winners were Rubio, with more than a million votes, and Amendment 4.
