Battered by tornados that stung Tallahassee on May 10, a 40-year-old pawn shop is closing its doors.
Tallahassee Gun & Pawn on South Monroe Street received significant damage from the storms that left one person dead and caused widespread destruction in parts of the city. Owner Bobby Carrouth, 70, opted to retire after assessing the damage, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.
“After 40 years, Tallahassee Gun & Pawn has closed its doors, due to the recent tornados. I appreciate your business and the friendships I’ve made through the years. Please share this message so it reaches the community,” the store posted on Facebook.
