The English language. Just when you think you have it figured out, Urban Dictionary creates a new word, or AP releases a new Stylebook. Morgan Greenwald, associate editor at Best Life, listed 23 common grammatical mistakes everyone makes – along with their remedies.
1. Misusing its and it’s.
2. Dangling modifiers.
3. Misplaced commas.
4. Mistaking to and too.
5. Mistaking their, they’re, and there.
6. Using irregardless.
7. Using there’s and here’s with plural subjects.
8. Saying based off instead of based on.
Not that you would be tripped up by these gaffes, but check here just to be sure.
