April Is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month

by

2016 National Safety Council statistics report up to 40,000 people have died on U.S. roadways. According to the CDC, more than eight people in the U.S. are killed daily in crashes that involve a distracted driver.

Did you know at 55 mph the average text takes your eyes off the road long enough to cover a football field?

This month, take the pledge to avoid distractions, keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Visit www.nsc.org or www.nhtsa.gov to learn more and use #DistractedDrivingAwarenessMonth on social media when NOT driving.
