You probably aren’t ready to hear this, but hurricane season is already upon us, and the time to get prepared is now.
Hurricane season officially kicks off on June 1, and experts have forecast an even more active hurricane season than last year — projecting 14 named storms, with three of those developing into major hurricanes.
To help you prepare, take advantage of the hurricane preparedness sales tax holiday, which will be held from June 1-7. During this time, you can buy your supply items without sales tax. Qualifying items include batteries, coolers, fuel containers, flashlights, portable generators and more.
