Old capitol goes purple

by

Have you been wondering why the old capitol has been aglow in purple lights this week?

In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 8 through 14, Marsy’s Law for Florida has lit Florida’s old capitol in purple lights as a reminder that victims should be entitled to rights and protections equal to those already afforded the accused and convicted. The lights will remain on from sunset to sunrise through Sunday morning.

Marsy’s Law for Florida is currently advocating for Constitution Revision Commission 96, which would place clear, enforceable rights for victims and their families in the state constitution.
