Business Owner and Former Legislator Jimmy Patronis Appointed as Florida’s CFO

Florida has a new Chief Financial Officer: business owner and former legislator Jimmy Patronis.

At his swearing in ceremony standing next to his wife Katie and two sons, Governor Rick Scott, and now former CFO Jeff Atwater, Florida’s fourth CFO expressed gratitude and a passion for serving.

The CFO has diverse responsibilities including being a Florida Cabinet member and the State Fire Marshal, and overseeing the division of insurance fraud. A common thread, though, is financial accountability and economic stability. Those who know CFO Patronis, know his decades of business experience and passion for serving Florida will guide him well.
