Beat the Heat With a Trip to Beautiful Wakulla Springs

by
Wakulla Springs State Park

Looking for something to do these last couple weeks before school starts back up? Needing relief from the relentless North Florida heat and humidity? Look no further than our local treasure, Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park.

The spring is one of the world’s largest and deepest freshwater springs and maintains an average annual temperature of 70 degrees, which will feel delightfully refreshing this time of year.

You can jump into the cool, clear water from the large diving platform or take a ride on a riverboat to see the area’s animal inhabitants, including alligators, turtles, manatees, deer and birds.
