Sully the service dog

Named for heroic “Miracle on the Hudson” pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, Sully the service dog is taking over the controls and receiving presidential recognition of his own. Former President Bill Clinton delivered Sully, a yellow Labrador Retriever, to his friend former President George H.W. Bush at his home on Walker’s Point in Kennebunkport, Maine.

Trained by America’s VetDogs program, Sully will help the former president, now aged 94, perform daily tasks and be a loyal, canine companion.

America’s VetDogs program helps “veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders who are disabled” gain independence by offering free service dogs.
