School shopping with no tax? Yes, please

It’s that time of year again. Get your school supply shopping lists ready for the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday weekend Aug. 3-5. Shoppers won’t have to pay sales tax on thousands of items such as clothes, bags and supplies.

Near-record sales are predicted with families spending an average of $684.79. Consumers can expect retailers to offer discounts on top of the already tax-free merchandise.

This is the second busiest shopping “holiday” of the year. And remember, consumers of ALL ages can take advantage of not paying sales tax, so get out there and shop.
