Last week, I saw a Facebook post that a patient at Tallahassee Memorial was having complications from surgery. Because of the multiple blood transfusions this patient needed, the hospital’s supply was falling dangerously low. That post, asking for people to donate O-positive blood, went viral, being shared over 3,700 times.
The next day at Tallahassee’s OneBlood, people were in line for hours to donate. We are blessed to live in a remarkable community where people go the extra mile for their neighbor.
The patient is recovering well, but there is still a need for blood donors. Donate today.
