The 2018 Miss Florida crown goes to Taylor Tyson, a 23-year-old Palm Beach County native studying law at Stetson University. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University. She won $25,000 in scholarship money and the chance to compete in the Miss America Pageant on Saturday, Sept. 9.
“We have a thriving agriculture industry, booming, multicultural cities – I’d love to highlight off-the-beaten-path areas and everything Florida has to offer,” said Tyson.
As Miss Florida, Tyson will be a spokesperson for the Everglades Foundation and Advanced Recovery Systems addiction and mental health rehabilitation center.
