They’re off to the races this Saturday for the longest continually held sporting event in America (since 1875) and the world’s most prestigious horse race.
A field of three-year-old thoroughbred horses will compete in the one and 1/4-mile long dirt race track at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., to take the top prize. At the top of the leaderboard, and sure to be the most popular bet, is Girvin, who was born and raised in Kentucky and already has three first-place finishes under his belt.
