Tallahassee will welcome in the season with the 33rd annual Winter Festival next weekend on Saturday, Dec. 7, in the downtown area. The famous 3K Jingle Bell Run, the nighttime parade down Monroe Street and Santa’s Enchanted Forest are among the offerings that attract an estimated 50,000 revelers each year.
Begun in 1986 to showcase the newly purchased holiday decorations, the city welcomes all to come downtown to turn on the lights in the Chain of Parks.
“Candy Cane Dreams and Holiday Scenes” is the theme for this year’s edition of the Winter Festival, which begins at 3PM Dec. 7.
