Get Your Greek on at the Tallahassee Greek Festival

Baklava for sale at the Tallahassee Greek Festival

In ancient Greece, the “agora” was the center of life. In modern day Greece, the “plateia,” or town square, is the new agora. The idea, though, is the same: It’s a place to meet, let kids play and eat and drink. From ancient to modern times, the importance of community is quintessentially Greek.

You can experience this feeling at the Tallahassee Greek Festival Friday and Saturday, Oct. 6-7. More than eating delectable syrup-soaked desserts and savory gyros, the festival brings Greek culture to Florida’s Capital.

Details: Free admission, 10AM to 10PM both days, located at 1645 Phillips Road.
