If anything positive came out of 2020, it was the gentle reminder of what’s really important in life: family and loved ones. That may be why several large retailers are closing on Thanksgiving Day in 2021 – postponing Black Friday sales until, well, Friday – allowing their employees to enjoy a well-deserved break and spend the holiday at home.
The growing list includes big box stores like Walmart, Target and Best Buy, which have all notoriously drawn crowds of thrifty shoppers for their early Black Friday deals in years past.
