For many of us, conference calls are a regular part of our workday. Now with COVID-19 pushing nearly all Floridians into our newfound home offices, handling these routine calls has presented fun challenges. Think barking dogs, noisy garbage trucks, or the toddler that insists on singing the song from Disney’s “Aristocats” as loudly as possible.
There are so many household noises that we’re all getting used to, so let’s agree to mash that mute button when we’re not talking.
Awkward pauses will happen as people fumble to unmute. We’ll all understand. This will be much better for productivity moving forward.
