Public power leader wins national award

by
Amy Zubaly

Congratulations to Amy Zubaly, executive director of the Florida Municipal Electric Association.

Amy was recently awarded the American Public Power Association’s Harold Kramer-John Preston Personal Service Award, which recognizes individuals for their exceptional service to the organization.

In September 2017, Amy helped coordinate the largest pre-planned power restoration effort in U.S. history, lining up more than 2,000 public power lineworkers from 26 states and 200 public power utilities responding to Florida following Hurricane Irma. She also played an integral role in coordinating mutual aid sent to the U.S. Virgin Islands following hurricanes Irma and Maria.
