Summer may be more than halfway over, but that doesn’t mean the end of vacation season. If you are still planning a vacation this summer, the Tallahassee Police Department offers these home safety tips:
• Arrange for a neighbor to pick up your packages, newspapers and mail. Have them place garbage cans at the curb on your normal pickup day(s) and return them after.
• If you have an alarm system, make sure it is enabled.
• Have your lawn mowed and leaves picked up.
• Ask a neighbor to occasionally park in your driveway.
