#GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.
In 2017, millions of people in almost every country came together to give back and support causes they believe in. More than $300 million was raised online to benefit a tremendously broad range of organizations, and much more was given in volunteer hours, donations of food and clothing and acts of kindness.
